Ridley Scott

This man is Sir Ridley Scott, an English film director and producer. He was born on November 30, 1937 in South Shields, England. So he is 80 years old now. During his career he has directed the terrifying Alien (1978), the melancholic Blade Runner (1982), the dramatic Gladiator (2000) and the exciting The Martian (2015).

This director is one of my favorites. I love the way he creates incredible atmospheres in his films. I also love the themes of his films, like the space, aliens, artificial intelligence and madness. I love his strong female characters too.

My favorite films by him are Alien and Blade Runner. The first one is a creepy story about a dangerous alien monster that infiltrates a spaceship. This one counts with one of the strongest heroines of the cinema, Ellen Ripley, interpreted by Sigourney Weaver. And the second is an adaptation of a Philip K. Dick novel called Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (1968). This is about a group of artificial humans who reveal themselves against their creators, so Rick Deckard, played by Harrison Ford, must eliminate them.

If you have not seen any of these movies, I recommend you do it, you will not regret it.
